Called the “Champagne of Ceylon teas" it was the only tea to be served at the HM Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee in 2012 – a tea for those who enjoy the finer things in life!
100g New Vithanakande Loose Leaf Tea – Grown at 2000ft the tea bushes border the Sinharaja forest in Ceylon’s low country. Cool winds that blow through the forest infuse the tea bush to produce a naturally sweet caramel, toffee flavoured cup.
The Guild of Fine Food were adored the unique complexity of New Vithankande and awarded it a Gold Great Taste Award in 2012.

PMD Tea – Working with Tea Plantations since 1945
P.M.David Silva & Sons (a.k.a PMD Tea) was established in 1945 during the plantation Raj in Ceylon’s world famous Dimbula Valley. The company was founded on Brunswick Estate in the fertile Maskeliya Valley as a small independent Tea Shop for tea plantation workers to gather, relax and enjoy a quality cup of tea. The business and the family soon expended to become a specialist tea transporter and plantation supplier.
Today, almost 75 years later and three generations on, they are driven by that same ideal to bring you the world’s finest teas. Still a family owned business, working with many family descendants’ members that started with them, to bring you the finest flavours from their family home to yours.
To ensure you keep your tea tasting at its best, keep it in a cool dry place. You can enjoy your tea for up to 2 years, if you can resist drinking it straight away that is!
